The Cross of Christ; "Foolish"?!
Question: What does the phrase “For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing” mean?
Very simply it means that those people who have heard/known the Message of Christ Jesus’ Sacrifice for “the sin of the world”, just cannot believe that God exists, or that an all-powerful God can need to Love His Creation (John 3:16)!
As Pilate said to Jesus “what is truth”?
But; as his wife warned him, “have nothing to do with this righteous man”; thereby showing that she had perceived/ received, or come to know, that Jesus was who He said He was!
There is the difference!
